I’m glad we got this horn to work on. I’m super excited to play it. It will need a new receiver and dent work. It’s going to have a low Bb key added to the Left-hand mechanism. It’s in progress…
Low C Guard is all pushed in and poorly repaired:
Someone did some quicky repairs to the soldered tone holes. We’re going to think this over and devise a good approach to repair. In order to keep this instrument serviceable, the correct repairs need to be done.

The receiver is all put together. Now it needs some cleaning.
Once a horn makes it to the cart, we all know it’s going to be OK.

All the parts are nearly clean, dent free, and ready to be put on.
Tone holes are level, keys are fit, body set. Here the body is being washed. The clean body and fit keys are meeting up at the ‘dry fitting’ bench. It’s getting close!
