Dr. P sent in his gold plated Buescher True Tone Soprano all the way from the Virgin Islands.
Some of the pads were bulging oddly…
…and we found out that whoever had done work in the past decided to not use the original Buescher Snap-in Resos but didn’t completely remove the studs from the pad cups, making it impossible to have level pads. We’re going to finish the the job of removing the studs.
The Low Bb key is going to be modified with an extended Low Bb touchpiece.
A new octave lever and left hand thumb rest are ready to be installed.
The Low Bb touchpiece has been extended and gold plated.

We added a large, adjustable right hand thumb rest and a 3 ring strap hook. Between these and the redesigned octave lever and left hand thumb rest, this soprano is going to be very comfortable to play!
We gave the strap ring a satin finish to match the satin gold body:
