Here’s a list of MusicMedic products used in this video!

3M™ Radial Bristle Discs

3M™ Radial Bristle Discs have flexible rubber bristles for cleaning, finishing, and polishing detailed parts or tiny areas. Great for polishing hard-to-reach areas without the risk of the disc catching or snagging. These bristle discs work well on satin finishes and for polishing around posts and cleaning up around solder joints. Removes oxides from gold, silver, brass, and copper. These discs work on straight shaft, portable hand tools such as Dremel and Foredom tools. Using 3 discs at a time, stacked, is recommended for best results. Use the 1/8 inch Dremel Mandrel with these discs. Learn more & order today!

Silicone Polishing Wheels

These Silicone polishing wheels are perfect for getting into tight areas on an instrument without the use of polishing compounds and buffs. We use the entire set of wheels in our shop to prepare small parts for color buffing. All wheels are 7/8″ (22mm) wide and 4mm thick with a knife edge. The assortment includes four dremel mandrels for quick changes at the bench.

Available in 4 grits by color:

White:
Coarse 100 grit, for pre-polishing. Use this wheel to smooth file marks or to shape small brass parts.

Black:
Medium 220 grit, flexible. For refining edges and smoothing surfaces. Use this wheel for cleaning solder off of brass, especially around posts and key guard feet. Also great for preparing parts for soldering.

Blue:
Fine 800 grit, flexible. Use these to get a medium luster or smooth matte finish. This wheel removes brass slowly and is good for cleaning after the black wheel. Use it instead of a scraper to remove excess solder, it leaves a good edge on key feet. You can also use this wheel to clean bare brass.

Pink:
Ultra Fine 1200 grit, flexible. Use these for the final finish if you want a high luster. These can also be used for a medium luster or smooth matte finish. This wheel is great for use on any plated surface, it cleans silver without removing it, and is great for the final finish after the blue wheel.

Sanding Stick

Sanding sticks have adjustable, continuous sanding belts that are held in place by a spring-loaded mechanism. This allows you to rotate the belt as needed to expose a new sanding surface. Great for sanding hard-to-reach places, use them in any place where emery boards are useful. You can easily sand tech cork with these sanding sticks, or use the belts separately and cut them into strips for sanding cork under key feet. Stitched Muslin Buffing Wheels

The stitching provides these buffs with a wide, firm center while the material itself is remarkably soft. Use to color buff pad cups and large areas on the body of the instrument that require slightly more pressure than the Loose Muslin buffs can provide. Center is reinforced with shellac. Use with Rouge or our Blue Compounds. Thickness ranges from 0.5-0.875″ (13-22mm). Learn more & order today!
